New boat will help ferry crew

7th March 2017

A generous supporter from the Channel Sailing Club has gifted a work boat to Turn to Starboard.

Sweet Caroline was donated by sailor Robert Spearpoint following a talk given by CEO Shaun Pascoe to the Surrey-based club last month.

Once cosmetic updates are completed, the 18-foot West Pointer be used to ferry crew between boats in the charity’s fleet.

Turn to Starboard CEO Shaun Pascoe said: “This generous donation will help us to transport crew around Falmouth’s harbour ¬†as well as offering recreational activities for beneficiaries.”

Sweet Caroline was built in Maine, New England and was transported to the UK around 2013. She was named after Mr Spearpoints daughter.
