Turn to Starboard is excited to introduce a new member to our team, Paul Miller.

Paul will provide operational support to the charity working alongside Operations Manager Tamsin Mulcahy.

Paul, 48, served 12 years in the Army and worked as a Casualty Visiting Officer towards the end of his career, a role supporting individuals and families in compassionate cases. He went on to retrain as a powerboat and sail RYA Instructor while based at Brixham in Devon.

Paul said: “This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a great organisation and I was delighted to be offered the role. The aim of the new position is to help organise the administration of sailing courses to ensure everyone who sails with the charity receives the best possible experience.

“It will be helpful that I can use my marine experience to help look after Turn to Starboard’s fleet of boats while ensuring all the volunteer instructors receive all the support they need. So far everybody has been incredibly welcoming and it’s great to be working in such an enjoyable atmosphere!”

Paul lives in Falmouth with his girlfriend Mel and 20-week-old Sprocker, Pirate.
