A busy year gone, a busy year ahead

21st May 2017

It has been a busy year so far at Turn to Starboard with 111 sailing opportunities provided during the winter months.

In 2016 we provided 427 opportunities and helped many beneficiaries gaining a host of RYA qualifications, along with completing the Round Britain Challenge 2016; hosting a visit from HRH Princess Anne; a hugely successful Dining In night at The Falmouth Hotel and sailing our tall ship, Spirit of Falmouth, to be a star attraction at the London Boat Show.

Our busy calendar also included a wide range of collaborations with organisations including The Prince’s Trust, Help for Heroes, Royal British Legion, ABF The Soldiers Charity, Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, The Royal Endeavour Fund, International Paints, The Poppy Factory, RAFA, Balfour Beatty, Wild Space Adventures, the team behind Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins (Break-Point) and many more.

This year we have a wide range of events planned to help us to fund as many Service personnel affected by operations as possible to get out on the water.

Our summer sailing schedule is now open so if you know someone who may want to gain RYA qualifications, enjoy family sailing trips, sail around the British Isles on board a tall ship, take part in our Zero to Hero programme, or just enjoy a few days on the water, please ask them to call us on 01326 314262 or visit turntostarboard.co.uk.

Thank you!
