Staff show spirit of adventure

23rd July 2017

A group from construction company Balfour Beatty enjoyed a wild weekend on board the Spirit of Falmouth for a team development and leadership training event.

Twelve staff members set sail on board the 92-foot tall ship for an outdoor adventure of sailing, kayaking and fishing.

One participant said: “This once-in-a-lifetime experience has not only been a fantastic weekend but also a knowledgeable one through activities such as kayaking, fishing, climbing the rigging and sailing. The crew were incredibly welcoming and the weekend was a real eye-opener into the amazing work the people at Turn to Starboard do in aiding men, women and their loved ones return to a comfortable lifestyle after serving in the forces. Our only quarrel is that we all wish the trip was longer!”

Balfour Beatty is a leading construction group that finance, develop and build key infrastructure around the world.
