Volunteer opportunity – Events and Fundraising Assistant

Volunteering with Turn to Starboard is a fantastic way to have fun, learn new skills, meet new people, boost your CV and give something back. We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for a friendly and reliable person to help with the organisation of fun Events and Fundraising opportunities based at our office in Falmouth.

 

Job title:  EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT 

Reporting to:  EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR

Hours:  PART TIME(4-8 HOURS PER WEEK OVER 1-2 DAYS) (UNPAID ROLE) 

Location:  TURN TO STARBOARD, FALMOUTH 

 

Preferred skills:

  • The ideal candidate would have strong communication skills and a helpful and courteous manner with the public and supporters of the charity.
  • Team player and able to work alongside the Events & Fundraising Coordinator
  • Organisational and administrative skills.
  • IT skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

 

Desirable:

  • An understanding or empathy with ex Service and military personnel.
  • An interest in the maritime sector.

 

Closing date: 16 August, 2017 (midnight)
Interview date: 18 August, 2017
