An 18-foot boat gifted to Turn to Starboard by a generous supporter has undergone a second round of renovations, with the installation of new lockers, flooring and navigation lights.
Sweet Caroline was donated in March this year and used to ferry crews between boats in the charity’s fleet. The West Pointer 18’s oak knees and thwart were previously replaced along with a thorough sanding and fresh coat of paint.
Volunteer Paul Smith has kindly spent the last two weeks repairing the forward locker and flooring, added fuel tank covers plus fitted new navigation lights. Paul served in the Royal Navy Medical Branch for 12 years and has studied boat building at Falmouth Marine School.
Huge thanks to Paul!
