Veterans sail away to Corfu thanks to generous supporter

31st October 2017

Staff and veterans from Turn to Starboard recently set sail for the experience of a lifetime in the Mediterranean Sea, thanks to the support of a yacht charter company.

Nine crew members joined No Stress Yachting for a week-long sailing trip along the coast of Corfu. The voyage involved sail training, taking turns at ‘blind’ navigation and practicing mooring techniques.

Turn to Starboard trip organiser Paul Miller said: “This amazing opportunity from our good friends at No Stress Yachting allowed everyone to learn new sailing skills in a unique and sun-drenched environment. We enjoyed an excellent week on board two Bavaria 42 yachts in light wind conditions with a crew of novice participants and those preparing for Yachtmaster qualifications. The experience allowed us to gain useful insights into Mediterranean sailing, and the fantastic weather was also a huge bonus!”

No Stress Yachting is a yacht charter and RYA training centre based at Gouvia in Corfu. The company specialise in personalised itineraries to help keep sailing holidays stress free, and operate four yachts for holidaymakers throughout the year.
