This summer charity supporter Paul Merchant took on an incredible ‘Summer of Running’ challenge covering three race events in a bid to raise awareness and funds for Turn to Starboard.
Paul’s inspiring trio of challenges began with the Run Balmoral 10k event in April followed by the Nayland 10k run in July. On Sunday 21, October he went on to conquer the The Great South Run – one of the world’s leading 10 mile running events which takes thousands of runners around a fast and flat course in Portsmouth.
Paul has raised an incredible £842.50 including Gift Aid for the charity so far, and plans to go the extra mile by taking part in a fourth run next month.
He said: “I’ve enjoyed it so much I’ve entered for one last run this year. On the 18th November I’ll be taking part in the Adnams 10k, around the Southwold seafront and harbour. As usual, I’ll be sporting my natty Turn To Starboard vest and so making more people aware of the charity and their good work!”
