Turn to Starboard Patron
Henry Davies is a former Royal Navy helicopter pilot. He is now Director of the international film production and distribution company, Stick and Rudder Films.
After 16 years as a pilot, Henry resigned his commission to make movies.
The first full-length low-budget film by Henry had its UK premiere in Cornwall. Tink’s Kitchen is a comedy-drama shot in a fly-on-the-wall documentary style. In addition to financing the 74-minute film himself, he also wrote, produced, directed and edited it – as well as scoring the music. The actors gave their services for free and the St Austell Brewery let the filmmaker use its Norway Inn near Truro for filming.
Henry started out wanting to be an actor and performed in the West End at the age of 19. He then took a 16-year commission flying helicopters with the Royal Navy, but never lost the desire to make movies. Henry always kept writing. Tink’s Kitchen, had its world premiere at the Central Florida Film Festival in Kissimmee.
I am very proud to support Turn to Starboard which does a fantastic job to help Service veterans.
